Fort McMurray Potters' Guild

FMPG

The Fort McMurray Pottery Guild is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 for the purpose of promoting clay arts. The pottery studio is a place for our members and students to share ideas and techniques and to explore the craft of pottery.  Our skills range from the beginner to the expert level.

We are a non-profit organization founded in 1983 for the purpose of promoting clay arts. The pottery studio is a place for our members and students to share ideas and techniques and to explore the craft of pottery.

Our studio allows guild members a place and opportunity to create, glaze, and fire our work. We offer classes to both children and adults. We also hold member workshops throughout the year with nationally and internationally known potters.

Our guild could not operate without the devotion, the passion and the commitment of our 35+ members. Operations are funded by four main sources:

  • Class and studio fees
  • Proceeds from the twice annual FMPG Pottery Sale
  • Operating grant from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts
  • Support from the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo

We are located in the Centerfire Place.
